Help Us Save Lives
Love Mutts Rescue is committed to rescuing shelter animals and strays. Often, this is a life-or-death decision for these precious animals. With a group of dedicated volunteers, we help ensure that our rescues are loved and cared for until they can be adopted. We host adoption events each weekend to help each pet find a “forever home.”
Love Mutts Rescue’s goal is to save as many voiceless animals as possible, and to provide them with the love and care they so desperately need. However, we can't do it without our team of amazing volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, there are many ways you can help.
FOSTER
Fostering saves lives!
Fostering is the main limiting factor to saving more animals in need. Both short term and long term fosters are needed.
We are grateful for our long term fosters, who are willing to keep a dog until it is adopted. We value our short term fosters as well. Short term fosters are needed to cover vacations and holidays, to fill the gap between rescue from the shelter and availability of a long term foster, or for respite between adoption events. We appreciate any time our foster families can give.
Love Mutts Rescue pays for all necessary vetting and provides heartworm & flea/tick prevention. Vetting must be pre-approved by the rescue in order to be reimbursed.

It's a commitment to saving a life.
VOLUNTEER
There are many ways to help!
Pet Transport: Volunteer to help transport our dogs. Local and regional transporting is needed.
Take Photos: A great picture of a dog helps so much in placing them in their forever home.
Bathe a Dog: Help our dogs smell pretty and look good.
Walk/Visit Dogs in Boarding: Occasionally, we have to put dogs in boarding while they are waiting to be adopted. These pooches love visits from volunteers – to walk them and give them some love.
Adoption Events: Volunteer to help at our local adoption events. Dog walkers and handlers are always needed.
Donate Supplies: Some of our needs include: bags of quality dog food & treats (no rawhides or greenies), wire dog crates, and flea/tick prevention.
Administrative Support: If you are computer savvy, organized, or good with numbers – we could certainly use your help.
